ABOUT ANN DENNIS

Ann Dennis has operated her own business marketing and manufacturing a variety of home furnishing accessories since the early 1980's. Her commercial art and design education led her to create her own line of hand silk screen-printed wallpaper and fabric in the late 1980's. The resulting national prominence in the industry led to the creation of Ann Dennis Designs Showroom, which opened in 1993 and now occupies 4,000 square feet in the Stonemill Design Center in Costa Mesa, California.

Ann's basic philosophy is grounded in the belief that you can do whatever your imagination tells you. The showroom and her design work incorporate an unusual mix of furnishings from different periods, styles and places. This approach is carried over into her own home. "I buy things with potential nobody else sees, and that you won't see everywhere else. Perhaps my 'artist's eye' enables me to see things and possibilities from a different perspective," she says. "Exercise your creative freedom and trust your instincts."
